For many people drinking coffee is a daily ritual. During this ritual often the place, time and people are as important as the coffee itself. This coffee table and its matching tableware encourage its users to recognise these aspects of having a cup of coffee and enjoy their coffee even more.

The ceramic cups lack a flat bottom and need the notches in the table to stand straight, which creates a defined and compact space where the coffee is to be drunk. The lines between the different notches visualise and stimulate the conversation between the people drinking their coffee together.
