Nate is an intimate bar on Utrechtstraat, open from morning to evening, known for shakshuka breakfast, coffee and cocktails. The interior breathes a modern interpretation of Art Deco, inspired by the building’s characteristic façade and the site’s rich history, once a French yarn shop.

The intervention of a glass brick wall makes the rear wall warm and interesting (inspired by the Hermès store in Tokyo) and creates a bar function within the space.

With warm materials such as leather, hardwood and Japanese paper, an atmosphere has been created that emits a soft glow both day and night. The bar forms the heart of the space, complemented by a glass front wall, a Hermès-red corner and a large oval chandelier that emphasises the ceiling height and transforms the room.

An inclusive and contemporary interior that connects with the client’s dandy-like, vintage signature and invites a diverse, LHBTQIA+ audience.
